Re-Design & Construction Project Takeover in Boulder, CO
This year, we stepped into a Boulder project after the homeowner walked away from a design-build firm that delivered little more than rough concepts, limited detail, and a climbing budget.
After they contacted PR Builders, we developed and delivered a full preconstruction package that included two redesigned options complete with 3D renderings, a selections package, and an expanded scope that better matched their vision.

In just three months, we took the project from a concept to fully developed, permit-ready plans. During that time, we brought an architect on board, proposed two new roof design options, developed an HVAC, electrical, and landscape plan, coordinated approvals by structural and civil engineers, and established a clear construction timeline. During this process we also handled legal negotiations and prepared the project for construction.
Our efficient approach not only produced a design that they love, but also came around $300,000 under the previous builder’s quote. With permitting complete and the groundwork done, the project was positioned to move straight into construction.
The homeowner described the final design as “what we had been looking for all along.”
